Past President - John C. Scott

John Scott is Chief Executive Officer of the Scott Construction Group. A professional engineer, John founded the company in 1984 and turned it into one of Western Canada's largest and most respected construction firms. The company has distinguished itself through the construction of many Vancouver landmarks, including Waterfront Place, the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, and renovation of the Hotel Georgia.

Outside the office, John is a leader in numerous industry and community organizations. He has also helped establish a construction chair at UBC and presently sits on the UBC Faculty of Applied Science Campaign Cabinet.

John is an avid outdoors man - jogger, skier, golfer and fisher.  Most weekends you will find him enjoying the outdoors in one of the Metro Vancouver regional parks.

John Scott was presented with a Service Award by David Pohl at the Foundation's Annual General Meeting March 5, 2009.  He was honoured for his dedication and service as a founding member and president of the Foundation from 2000 to 2008.
