The Burnaby Lake Park Association needs your help to replace the aging viewing tower. The original tower was funded and built in 1978 by a dedicated group of volunteers and community members.
The new tower will continue to support outdoor education and public enjoyment of the park's natural beauty and wildlife. It will feature a wheelchair accessible platform and space for a full classroom of children. From atop the new tower you will experience the calm waters of the lake, the surrounding marsh and forest. You will hear the sounds of birds, see a beaver lodge and spot other wildlife that make Burnaby Lake such a special place.
Thanks to the generousity of our donors the new viewing tower was officially opened May 21, 2009.
