Derby Reach
Derby Reach Regional Park (DRRP) is one of 25 parks and greenways managed by the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD).  Its 297 hectares of  Fraser River frontage, peat bog, upland forest and farm meadows are located on the south shore of the Fraser River, approximately four kilometers west of Fort Langley.

The park is rich with history.  It is significant as an early Kwantlen settlement area and also contains the site of the first Fort Langley established in 1827 as the Hudson Bay Company’s first permanent settlement within present day coastal B.C.
DRRP was opened in 1976.  The park offers visitors excellent fishing, camping, picnicking, walking, cycling and equestrian trails.  Since its opening, annual park visitation has steadily increased and totaled over 338,000 in 2003.

Fast facts:
A management plan for Derby Reach Regional Park was completed in 1999 and guides GVRD's management of the parks resources and activities to ensure a balance between environmental protection and safe, enjoyable public use.

- The Langley Bog portion of Derby Reach Regional Park is not currently accessible to the public for safety reasons.
